The 5th edition of Perloff uses the same section numbers as the earlier editions for the material listed in the Course Outline. You can use any edition of the book from the 3rd through the 5th. Some of the examples change from one edition to the next, so don't be worried if you're talking to someone else from class and it sounds like their book isn't identical to yours.
