Why can't I add PAI 305 when there are empty seats?

PAI 305 Policy Implementation and PSC 300 M101 Policy Implementation are the same course but limitations in MySlice mean that each has to have a separate enrollment cap, which can cause a lot of confusion.

If you aren't able to add PAI 305 but see empty seats listed on MySlice, it means that PAI 305 is full but PSC 300 M101 is still open. MySlice may give you a very confusing error about seats being reserved for PST students but that's not the problem: it's just that PST 305 is full. Register for PSC 300 M101 instead: with a one-line petition it can be counted instead of PAI 305.
