1. Map median income in New York by county

Uses methods discussed on Nov 7.

Download the following files, create a new project, add both layers, join the CSV data to the layer with the county polygons, and construct a heat map of median income. Label the counties with either their names, the median income, or both.

• ny-counties/tl_2016_us_county-ny (remember you'll need the whole directory)
• ny-counties/ny-county-data.csv

The following variables appear in the data file:

• pop = total population
• per_cap_inc = per capita income
• med_inc = median income

Just FYI, the ny-county-meta.csv file has some metadata about ny-county-data.csv (metadata is information about the contents of a database or data file).
